Heiner Meyer lives and works in Bielefeld. His works are in possession of a public and private collection.
Heiner Meyer is an outstanding artist who, thanks to his unique paintings and sculptures, is considered the founder of Pop Art 2.0. His works are known for their interplay of luxury, beauty and reminiscences of well-known Pop Art greats such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein or David Hockney, to name just a few.
Meyer's artworks are not only a homage to the pop art greats of the past, but also a modern interpretation of this art movement. His paintings are characterized by an attention to detail and precision that make him a master of his craft.
In his works he is guided by various sources of inspiration. On the one hand he gets his inspiration from the world of comics and on the other hand from the dazzling world of elitist consumption. The combination of pop art aesthetics and luxurious motifs gives Meyer's works a unique and incomparable touch.
Meyer's sculptures (including handbags, perfume bottles and cartoon characters) and unique oil paintings are not only becoming increasingly popular on the German market, but also internationally. It is now part of many renowned collections and is exhibited in major art museums and galleries.
For example, Heiner Meyer's sculpture "GREAT MICKEY" was part of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger's collection. He is a self-confessed Pop Art fan, which is why Meyer's unique Mickey Mouse sculpture could not be missing alongside works by Andy Warhol or Jean-Michel Basquiat in the designer's Miami Beach House. After Hilfiger sold the property a few years later, he also auctioned off his Pop Art collection at Sotheby's auction house. In February 2022, the dazzling bronze sculpture found its new home in the GALERIE LOESER.
