Lezzueck Coosemans
Lezzueck A. Coosemans is an exceptional artist from Guatemala who currently lives and works in Bad Berka, Germany. His ethically grounded approach to the relationship between humanity and nature leaves a profound impression in his paintings. Rather than narrating stories, he illuminates the complex interconnections and mutual influences between humans and the environment. His works challenge the consequences of human actions without resorting to negativity or sensationalism. Instead, he emphasizes the mesmerizing beauty of nature to remind viewers of what is at stake.
Deeply rooted in his South American heritage, Coosemans utilizes the time-honored medium of painting to convey his messages with a distinctive and powerful artistic voice. His thorough exploration of ancient painting techniques enables him to depict colors with such intensity and depth that viewers are irresistibly drawn into his works. This effect is often enhanced by subtle details that are not immediately apparent, inviting closer observation.
A defining characteristic of his works is the statuesque quality of his figures—their direct, almost haunting presence, as well as the symbolism of their posture and expression. These visual elements underscore an unassailable truth: there is no escaping the natural laws and cycles to which we are all bound. Through his art, Coosemans invites viewers to reflect on the fragile relationship between humanity and nature, offering a silent yet powerful meditation on what we stand to lose.
